Dumbreck Decorators was formed in 1973 and the name quickly became synonymous with quality workmanship. Many awards have been won by Dumbreck over the years including the British Rose Bowl award in 2005 for the best decorative job in Britain for St Aloysius Church in Glasgow. In 2007 Dumbreck was awarded Scottish Decorators Federation Painting Project of the Year for our contribution to the works at St. Patrick's Church in Coatbridge a feat that was repeated in 2009 for St Mary’s Church again in Coatbridge.
Dumbreck is primarily a decorating contractor with over 100 permanently employed painters and decorators, many who have been with the company over 20 years. Our operatives are time-served and the firm continues to value the importance of training the craftsmen of the future with around 20% of the workforce currently going through the apprenticeship programme (including 4 mature apprentices.)
We have an exceptionally strong commitment to Health & Safety at Dumbreck and seek to ensure that we are more than fully compliant with all legislation. To this end we are registered to Safecontractor, Constructionline and CHAS. We also employ the services of a Health & Safety consultant to ensure adherence to policy and new legislation. Our commitment to quality saw us registered to ISO9001 in 2008 and to minimise our affect on the environment we are SEPA approved. We are active members of the Scottish Decorators€™ Federation with 3 of our current employees being past Presidents.
