We are an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for students aged 14 to 19. Padworth College was founded in 1963 by Oxford University tutor, Peter Fison, and a group of Oxford dons whose vision was to bring Oxford’s educational philosophy of tutorial teaching to school-level education. Individuality is celebrated through our highly differentiated learning approach, small informal classes and a personal, first name basis. Each student follows his or her own individual and unique programme of learning that reflects career aspirations, as well as personal interests and ability. Our approach to learning is enquiry-based and interactive – “You are you and you are unique. If you follow in the footprint of others, you won’t make any of your own.” Students at Padworth embrace the mind-set of global citizenship. Our student body, representing approximately 30 different nationalities, celebrates cultural diversity. Our boarding, with its strong focus on pastoral care and student welfare, ensures there is a balance of academic study alongside recreational and social activities. We are located close to London and Heathrow International Airport, in an historic country estate in the middle of a picturesque and safe environment. At Padworth, we celebrate individuality and embrace global citizenship.
