City College Norwich was first established as a technical school in 1891. In 2016, the college celebrated 125 years of providing its local community and the employers of Norfolk with excellence in vocational education and training, including apprenticeships, as well as academic, professional and higher education courses. Today the college has over 10,000 full and part-time students. Rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, City College Norwich provides excellent preparation for students' development and progression.
The college’s main campus is on Ipswich Road, just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre, and has benefitted from substantial investment in new buildings and facilities in recent years, including its Advanced Construction and Engineering Centre and Digi-Tech Factory. The Ipswich Road site is also home to its fine-dining Debut Restaurant, Solutions Hair and Beauty Salons and Platform Theatre which are all open to the public. The college’s higher education students are based at Norfolk House in the centre of Norwich.
