Nippon Connection is the biggest platform for Japanese cinema worldwide and will take place for the 23rd time from June 6 to 11, 2023 in Frankfurt am Main / Germany. The unique film and cultural program offers Japan for all the senses, from tradition to modernity, on six days. The festival is organized mainly on a voluntary basis by the non-profit Nippon Connection registered association. The organization team consists of around 70 members, with many students among them. In 2013, festival director Marion Klomfass was honored by the Japanese Foreign Minister for her merits in the field of German-Japanese cultural exchange.
