With almost 50,000 members, SV Werder Bremen are one of the biggest and most historic sports clubs in Germany, with men's professional football at the heart of the organisation. One of the founding members of the Bundesliga, the Green-Whites have won four league and six DFB-Pokal titles so far, with victory in the 1992 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup the greatest triumph in Sport-Verein "Werder" von 1899 e.V.'s 125-year history. With its distinctive floodlights masts and situated close to the city centre between the Weser River and Bremen's lively "Viertel" district, the wohninvest WESERSTADION is both a landmark and the home of the club. SV Werder currently have over 200 employees and are regarded as pioneers in Germany in areas such as eFootball and the club's commitment to CSR. For many years, Werder have actively campaigned against discrimination and racism, as well as advocating for diversity, equality, and the promotion of women in the workplace, for example through initiatives such as “Fußball kann mehr" (Football can do more). The SV Werder Women’s side are an established team in the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga. Werder were also the first professional German club to join the global "Common Goal" movement in 2022.
