Calan DVS provides a range of specialists services to support individuals & families experiencing domestic abuse in Ammanford, Brecon, Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot and Radnor.
There are over 70 staff working for Calan who are involved in a variety of tasks including the provision of a one stop shop facility; information, support and advocacy in relation to housing, living independently, welfare benefits, returning home, legal issues; counselling; access to a 24 hour helpline; awareness raising; and multi-agency training. In addition, Calan DVS offers placements to support the personal development of individuals in a range of related professions.
Calan DVS have highly trained staff available 24 hours a day to offer partner agencies support and advice relating to domestic abuse issues affecting their service users.
We offer training packages that can be tailored to suit your requirements and specific needs around domestic abuse and sexual violence.

The Inspiring Families Programme
An innovative intervention and assessment of families where domestic abuse is an identified component and the families have chosen to stay together. The families supported are within a low or medium risk.
The Compass Programme:
Calan DVS support men that are affected by domestic abuse across Neath Port Talbot, Powys and Bridgend. Our ‘Compass Programme’ is designed to meet the needs of men that are the victims in an abusive relationship and can offer a journey of support to recovery.
