YK was founded in 2020, we are a 501 (c)3 organization with locations in San Francisco, California, and Cairo, Egypt. Yalla Kafala supports orphans. We are committed to raising awareness, providing resources, and supporting the kafala (adoption) process in Egypt.    Yalla Kafala collaborates with Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity and other organizations in implementing kafala laws that provide children with secure and loving homes.   We tear down cultural misconceptions and taboos about kafala and orphans, guide Egyptians through the kafala process, and develop child-rearing educational programs for kafala parents to guarantee children's healthy development within a family.
