Some of the key people in Eicher Group had a vision of making business a vehicle for transformation of communities and societies. Creating wealth in a manner which is ethical and eco-friendly by realizing the full potential of people, deploying the right values and means to run their business, and eliminating waste, were some of their ideas. In other words, they dreamt of creating a consulting organization that would develop a new mindset amongst business leaders of India.
On 2nd April 1991, Eicher Consultancy Services Limited (ECS) was born.
The focus was to partner clients in making change happen in a manner that would transfer competence and make the consultant "redundant". ECS believes in transfer of competence to clients and in upholding sound human and business values.
In the year 2000, we changed our name from Eicher Consultancy Services Limited to ECS Limited.
Towards the end of the year 2008, ECS was acquired by the Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of PwC. Post acquisition ECS Limited is now ECS Private Limited.
