The Divino Espírito Santo Hospital is a first-line hospital for the approximately 140,000 inhabitants of the islands of São Miguel and Santa Maria, and a central hub in the Autonomous Region of the Azores in terms of health care provision. Integrated in the Regional Health System, its mission is to promote the best Health for all, putting the patient, his welfare and safety first at all times. It currently has a capacity of 429 beds and has 7 operating theatres, providing z specialties to its users. Besides the General Emergency Service, it also provides urgent care in Pediatrics.
