Communities In Schools of the Charleston Area, Inc. is celebrating 27 years of stay-in-school/dropout prevention services to children and their families in South Carolina's Charleston and Berkeley Counties.
During the 2014-15 school year, CIS provided Student Support Services to more than 13,000 children attending 29 schools. Out of those children, 1,340 received case-managed services and the results were amazing!
96% were promoted to the next grade
98% of seniors graduated (78% went to college, 13% joined the military)
89% improved behavior
74% maintained adequate or improved attendance

Zion Elementary, North Charleston Elementary, North Charleston High, Pepperhill Elementary, R.B. Stall High, Sanders-Clyde Elementary, St. Johns High, St. Stephen Elementary, Sedgefield Intermediate and Zucker Middle School.
