The Yosemite Community College District (YCCD) is among the oldest community college districts in California and includes two comprehensive, two-year colleges (Columbia College and Modesto Junior College) and a Central Services unit that provides shared administrative and operational resources. The District includes all of two counties (Stanislaus and Tuolumne) and parts of four others (Calaveras, Merced, San Joaquin and Santa Clara).
The YCCD serves more than 28,000 students each academic year, with more than 14,000 Full Time Equivalent Student (FTES) enrolled, by providing a variety of credit and noncredit instruction to students through its associate degree, certificate, community education and four-year college transfer programs. The District employs a staff of over 1,100 individuals with a 2013-2014 final budget of over $114 million.
