HISTORY
With a clothes wringer, sheets of tin and paper, an awl, and a hammer, a young blind man launched a Braille magazine, Christian Record, in 1899. National Camps for Blind Children, a program of Christian Record, started in 1967.
The organization moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, from Michigan in 1904 and continues to develop creative ways to brighten the lives of those who live with legal blindness.
