The City of Hudson Oaks was incorporated in 1978, by citizens who wanted to chart their own course and protect themselves from taxing entities that were moving closer to their front doors through annexation. Today, their legacy and independent spirit live on through a city government that continues to provide a high level of municipal services to its citizens, and businesses, without levying a burdensome ad-valorem property tax. The City of Hudson Oaks top priorities are to provide a safe community for our citizens and businesses, aggressively pursue sales tax-generating commercial developments, and continually seek ways to improve the quality of life for our residents.
