Haugland Learning Center and Haugland Therapy Services serve the educational and therapeutic needs of over 350 children and young adults with Autism, Asperger's syndrome, and other developmental disabilities in the state of Ohio.
We operate classroom-based Charter Schools in Columbus/Dublin, Lancaster, Sandusky, and Athens. We also operate the Autism Intervention Center in Dublin, OH and home-based programs throughout the state.
Haugland Learning Center accepts students from preschool through twelfth grade (including those with behaviors of concern) and is, therefore, an excellent alternative to public school.
All students with an Autism, Asperger's, or PDD-NOS diagnosis are eligible to receive the Autism Scholarship from the Ohio Department of Education, which can be used to pay for educational services at Haugland. Students with other disabilities may qualify for the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship, which can also be used to pay for services at Haugland.
We provide an environment that promotes academic, social and emotional growth for all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We achieve success by using effective instructional methods based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
