BELTEI International University is a private higher education institution developed from BELTEI International Institute, which was founded on January 01, 2002, by the Prakas of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport No. 291 អយក.ប្រក dated on March 25, 2003, Sub-decree of the Royal Government No.97 អនក្រ.បក dated on August 04, 2005, and Sub-decree No. 138 អនក្រ.បក dated on September 06, 2012 about the transformation from BELTEI International Institute to BELTEI International University. The university's full name in Khmer “សាកលវិទ្យាល័យ ប៊ែលធី អន្តរជាតិ” and in English "BELTEI International University".
