Alternative Perspectives and Global Concerns was created by Dr. Mahmoud Masaeli in 2008. As a not-for-profit network of scholars, APGC is a global forum networking scholars to discuss alternative perspectives on global concerns. In the first stage of its creation, APGC initiated and organized a series of dialogues and conferences around the issues of morality and terrorism. These initiatives were followed by annual conferences in Canada, the Netherlands, USA, Columbia, and currently in Brazil, India, and Greece. Today, a new think thank from Afghanistan, Algeria/France, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, China, Colombia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, South Africa, Turkey, Uganda, USA, and Zimbabwe has formed the advisory board of the network. APGC is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization registered in Canada.
