China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC) was established in 1982 with the approval of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and was officially affiliated to the Ex-Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources of China. In May 2010, CGC was incorporated into China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) as a wholly owned subsidiary. As one of the first few state-owned enterprises approved by the State Council to undertaking international contracting projects, CGC was granted with the permission of international project contracting, import and export of equipment, labor service export, and mineral resources reconnaissance and development.
CGC locates its head office in Beijing, the Capital of China. Now, it has 23 overseas branches and offices in Asia and Africa with business activities covering over 50 countries and regions. At home, CGC has more than 20 subsidiaries and affiliate companies. Since its establishment, CGC has undertaken thousands of various kinds of projects both at home and abroad, consisting of EPC-related construction works of water supply and drainage, road and bridge construction, irrigation and hydropower, environmental protection, building, geotechnical engineering and geologic hazard treatment; geological and mineral reconnaissance and evaluation, and mineral resources development and management. For its sincerity with the commitment, quality of the works and efficiency in performance, CGC has won high appreciation from related international financers, clients, governments and local people. The Corporation has consecutively been ranked with “China Top 30 International Contractors and ENR Top 225 International Contractors.
