Chiyoda Corporation of Japan has been active in supporting Qatar’s energy development since the 1970s, including the delivery of EPC projects for 12 of the 14 LNG trains that have been taken up in Ras Laffan. With the ever-growing need to provide technical support to these operations, Chiyoda Almana was established in March 2008 by Chiyoda Corporation together with a local Qatar partner, Almana Trading Company to provide a local project lifecycle delivery capability to the LNG and other industrial sectors in Qatar.
Since our establishment, Chiyoda Almana has amassed significant working experience with major Qatar operators and has successfully completed over 300 projects ranging from engineering-only to full EPC / EPCm in the fields of LNG, oil & gas, petrochemicals and environment (water treatment and flare reduction) with the support of an experienced, locally based resource pool comprising over 20 nationalities. Many of these projects have been executed in complex, operational environments, within very short shutdown / turnaround windows.
In an ever-increasing competitive market place, we at Chiyoda Almana continue to deliver in accordance with the project expectations of our clients and remain committed to providing innovative solutions for continued sustainability in support of Qatar development in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
