Listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1987, Sipa Resources Limited (ASX Code: SRI) is a Perth-based Australian gold, base metals and nickel exploration company with a proven track record of discovery.
In the 1990s Sipa discovered the Panorama Copper-Zinc VMS Province and the Ashburton Gold Province, where the company established profitable gold operations up until mid 2004.
Since 2012, Sipa has been exploring the Kitgum Pader Basemetals & Gold Project in Uganda where it holds over 2000 sq km of exploration tenements. A number of discoveries have been made including:
• The Akelikongo Intrusive hosted magmatic Nickel Copper system.
• The Pamwa Broken Hill type Zinc Lead Silver system and surrounding base metal anomalies.
In 2016, following the comprehensive target generation and opportunity identification exercise, Sipa secured the Paterson North Project in Western Australia comprising of a 100% owned Sipa tenement application and a JV with Ming Gold Pty Ltd to earn an 80% interest in its Great Sandy Copper - Gold project. The Paterson North project provides a significant foothold in a under-explored area of the emerging Paterson gold-copper province. Significantly, Paterson North Project geology is interpreted to be the same prospective geological sequence which hosts world class Au and Cu deposits such as Newcrest’s giant (+20Moz) Telfer gold-copper-silver mine 120 km to the south.
Sipa has now drilled a compelling copper and polymetallic target occurring over a strike length of 4km.
