KYB Corporation is a global company with its head office based in Tokyo, Japan. For almost a century it has specialised in hydraulics, with technology widely used in the aeronautical, rail and maritime industries. KYB is Japan's leading hydraulics company. KYB began dealing in the automotive aftermarket in 1950 and has today become one of the world's largest manufacturers of original equipment (OE) shock absorbers, with a worldwide market share of around 25%. The KYB Group, which has over 14,500 employees worldwide, turns over $3.5billion, of which 60% is automotive shock absorbers.
