Located in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, the Cedar Creek battlefield boasts some of that regions most beautiful landscapes. Visitors can stand in the shadow of picturesque Massanutten Mountain or walk the verdant fields of Belle Grove Plantation, site of the Union army's headquarters and one of the battlefield's key landmarks. The Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation operates a Visitor Center on the Valley Pike (U.S. Route 11) and offers a self-guided tour of the Union XIX Corps earthworks. The Foundation also sponsors a popular annual reenactment of the battle.
