The International School of São Paulo belongs to GIS
The holding named Group of International Schools (GIS), based on the founders’ solid experience in international education, aims to establish and develop a group of international schools designed to offer premium education which inspires 21st century learning and intercultural understanding.
GIS was founded by a group of parents and entrepreneurs of different nationalities who previously opened and managed other schools in Europe such as: IS Como (opened 2002), IS Bologna (2005), IS Ticino in Lugano, Switzerland (2012). All these schools adopt both the Reggio Approach and the full IB programmes.
The purpose of GIS in São Paulo, Brazil, is to provide an IB International Education. The IB organisation is now completing 50 years of existence and its diploma is recognised in the most reknown universities around the world, including in the UK, USA and Europe. At present, in Brazil, a handful of private universities have started accepting the IB diploma as a form of entrance, replacing the Vestibular.
GIS SP´s goal is to provide expatriate and local families with an international education that is broad, balanced and challenging. Through the creative use of technology and authentic, inquiry-based learning experiences, GIS schools want to empower youngsters to be responsible lifelong learners who can achieve their full potential and contribute to an ever-changing world. A stimulating and safe learning environment fosters curiosity and an interest in learning, awakening children’s minds and illuminating their world. We aim to be the best we can in all that we do through inspirational learning, innovative teaching and personal care.
