GeroCon Project Integrators (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2010, focusing on project management and engineering services. GeroCon’s first major contract was its appointment as the owner’s engineer of Necsa’s SAFARI-1 replacement project. Following this appointment, GeroCon quickly expanded its client base and was successful in delivering project management and engineering services in the space, defence, energy and mining sectors. In 2011, GeroCon wanted to transform its shareholding to be more representative of South Africa’s demographics. As part of a BBBEE transaction, GeroCon transferred its business portfolio to ArioGenix (Pty) Ltd (“Ario”) in exchange for a 49% shareholding in Ario, a black woman owned organisation.
The core business of Ario is the provision of high-level project-related services to corporate clients. Ario's niche is its ability to bridge the gap from technology and engineering to successful project delivery. To date, the track record built up by Ario has been with a broad range of customers such as Eskom SOC Ltd (Central as well as all power stations), Necsa SOC Ltd, Necsa NTP Radioisotopes, Denel Land Systems, Anglo American, Kumba Iron Ore, SABS SOC Ltd, SANSA and others.
Ario has several high-level resources available and has built up a reputation for reliable supply to clients in the fields of project management and/or project engineering and project controls.
A team of maintenance planning staff was deployed at most of the Eskom power stations to ensure that all planned maintenance activities are accurately planned on SAP and scheduled to provide higher reliability of power generation.
Ario offers solid expertise in the implementation of project and engineering technologies. For each project, a quality assurance plan is drawn up according to ISO9001 standards, whilst the task is meticulously executed to conform to the specifications set.
