Founded on the conviction that the performing arts is the greatest means to develop human potential and social cohesion, we invest in the unlimited potential of youth through exceptional arts education and significant performance experiences. Across a broad demographic spectrum of Solano residents, YACM programs are designed to cultivate musical talent, curate emotional well-being, while promoting regional participation in the arts. We’re dedicated to excellence and relevant expressions in the performing arts by fostering a “potential achieving” environment through comprehensive instruction in five schools; Voice, Piano, Wind, Strings and Rhythm.
Our Music Matters program is a collaboration between public school districts, teachers, community advocates, and parents. It provides music enrichment for local public schools. Programs in concert band, strings, show choir, intro to music, ukulele and guitar provides hundreds of students with music training each year.
In our Core-Arts Program in Vacaville, students attend private lessons, ensemble rehearsal, and musicianship class weekly. Our performance season schedules 6 recital or concerts each year for students. Qualifying students may also give a junior or senior recital. We follow the syllabus of the Royal Conservatory of Music and offer annual exams. Our students successfully place with high honors in local arts competitions.
We prioritize motivating and empower students to practice and practice well. Learning to practice is the core of learning to be a musician.
We invite experienced Teaching Artists to join our team.
Our program places parents at the center of learning and practicing. We work closely with parents to create a structure and accountable system of at home practice.
Community Partners are also key to our success. We partner with businesses, foundations, schools, and other nonprofit organizations who provide funding, facilities, and volunteers.
