Since 1877, students have been graduating from the Columbus School District in Columbus, Wisconsin. Currently, this district encompasses an area of approximately 135 miles in Columbia, Dodge, and Dane counties. Located in South Central Wisconsin, the Columbus School District is approximately 70 miles northwest of Milwaukee, 25 miles northeast of Madison, and 30 miles southeast of Portage.
The Columbus School District is comprised of the City of Columbus and ten surrounding townships; the Towns of Columbus, Hampden, Otsego, and Fountain Prairie in Columbia County; the Towns of Elba, Calamus, Portland, and Lowell in Dodge County; and Bristol and York in Dane County.
Columbus School District is governed by a Board of seven elected members.
