The Royal Air Danish Force Academy is part of the Danish Defence College
The Royal Danish Air Force Academy trains the leaders of tomorrow and further educates the leaders of today.
The Royal Air Force Academy’s mission is to train and educate the Air Force’s coming young officers. The cadets, as the students are called, undergo the 48-month long Basic Officer Training Course before receiving their commissions as first lieutenants. Seasoned first lieutenants are prepared for their duties and tasks as captains through further education at the RDAFA. Learning goals and the academic content of the educational programs comprise the subjects Leadership and Management, Strategy, and Operations. In addition, a number of secondary subjects, English and Physical Training among others, facilitate deployment in international operations.
The RDAFA will offers a diploma program, which is a part of the Air Force’s Basic Officer Training Course, lasting a total of 28 months.
