Red River Revel is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the region of Shreveport, Louisiana cultural programming in the areas of "Art, Music, Food." Programs include the Shreveport Farmer's Market, CORK, BREW, and the Red River Revel Arts & Music Festival. Held annually, the Red River Revel is a 9-day festival bringing together visual artists, music artists, and the regional community in a celebration of the arts. The Red River Revel is a community partner with local non-profits, over 50 of which serve food and raise funds using the unique blend of Louisiana and Texas-inspired flavors found in the area. Each year during the festival, thousands of area 4th grade students spend the school day at the Red River Revel learning about and participating in the arts. Local regional, and national music acts perform on two stages in Shreveport's Festival Plaza. Approximately 100,000 visitors from all over the country visit the Red River Revel each year. This "Celebration of the Arts" encompasses quality in visual and performing arts, seminars, workshops, children's aesthetic education, and a variety of creative experiences. In addition to the festival, the organization manages the 12-week Shreveport Farmers Market, held weekly on Saturdays from Spring through Summer. The Red River Revel also directs the CORK event, an annual celebration of wine and food held at Festival Plaza as a fundraiser each Spring. Finally, the Red River Revel partners with Downtown Shreveport Unlimited (directors of Mudbug Madness) to host the BREW beer celebration and fundraiser each Fall.
