iLEAD is a non-profit organization that manages an African Innovation Network with centers in Johannesburg, South Africa; Dakar, Senegal and Maputo, Mozambique. The African Innovation Network pipeline incorporates a phased approach helping innovators through the various stages of product development from “Concept & Design” all the way through to “Clinical Validation for Launch readiness”. While we have identified several priority diseases, our approach is to identify and develop innovations that will have impact across diseases and will integrate and improve systems along the lab/clinic value chain.
iLEAD’s network merges expertise within the fields of Basic Science, Research and Development, Clinical Research, Implementation and Translational Science , Marketing and Business Development with the aim of accelerating the introduction of novel solutions for African and Global Health security. The Network will also leverage the power of Public- Private Partnerships with businesses both inside and outside of the industry to help drive best-fit innovations towards these goals.
