The Heart Foundation is New Zealand’s heart charity, leading the fight against heart disease - our country’s single biggest killer.
Our purpose is to stop all people in New Zealand dying prematurely from heart disease and enable people with heart disease to live full lives.
As the country’s leading independent funder of heart research, we have invested more than $85 million into research and specialist training for cardiologists since we started in 1968.
We also perform a range of activities that help support people, and their whānau, living with heart disease and provide educational programmes and campaigns that promote heart-healthy living.
