Our mission: To provide outreach and assistance for foreclosure prevention, home repair loans, homeownership education, financial literacy and wealth creation.
The Westside Housing Center is an innovative collaboration of 8 non-profit organizations: Cleveland Action to Support Housing, Cleveland Saves, Cleveland Tenants Organization, Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization, Empowering and Strengthening Ohio's People, Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Cleveland, Neighborhood Progress Inc and WECO Fund Incorporated.
The Westside Housing Center was created so that there is a "one stop shop" on the west side of Cleveland for all information pertaining to housing, education, financial literacy and job readiness. Our office is located in the Gordon Square Arcade in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood.
The center is here to accommodate you, the consumer. We are open in the evenings during the week, and also on Saturdays. Someone is always here to help you, along with a rotating schedule of informative seminars presented by our partners. (These will be posted.) Seminars are held in the evenings and on Saturdays.
There is also a bilingual Foreclosure Prevention Advocate on staff full time to answer your questions, and to provide help. Walk-ins are welcome. Our intake is conducted in a closed office, to allow for respect and privacy. Our on site advocate is able to start your foreclosure prevention process and negotiate with the appropriate lender.
