Established in 1953 for the purpose of serving General Telephone employees and their families, we expanded our field of membership in 2006. Today FGCU has grown to a full-service financial institution owned by over 10,000 members. Our field of membership no longer consists primarily of employees of General Telephone and their families but all who live or work within a wide five county area of western Michigan.
