We are the charitable organization on a mission to put an end to hunger and reduce food waste...starting with our own COMMUNITIES.
Why it matters? In the United States nearly 50 million people live in food insecure households; over 15 million of those are children. 62% of those people turn to some type of federal program for assistance each year. Oftentimes, food insecure households have to choose between eating and paying for essential utilities like gas and electricity. Hunger is on our street, on our watch - in our community.
Fight2Feed wants to challenge hunger by recovering food from restaurants, commercial kitchens, food trucks, and retailers, and in return provide nourishing meals to those facing food insecurity. By leveraging the food supply chain, we can reduce waste and feed our neighborhoods in need.
