There is no medicine that takes away the loneliness of aging. That is why in 1975 Mae Wygant founded LITA, a nonprofit organization that addresses the loneliness and isolation of aging in long-term care facilities by fostering personal connections and friendships between residents and the broader Marin community.
LITA relies primarily on individual donations and the support of Marin's business community to carry out our mission. Visit our website to connect with, support or volunteer for one of our six programs: One to One Friends, Pet Connections, Bridging Generations, Family Connections, Bridging Through Music, or Seniors in the Park.
