Future Problem Solving, an international education nonprofit, proudly celebrates 50 years of placing young people at the core of a dynamic, purposeful learning experience. Each year more than 30,000 K-12 students in at least 34 states and 14 countries around the world participate in a variety of problem-solving challenges. Our Future Problem Solving programs equip curious young people with the skills they need to create a better future. Problem solvers learn how to think, not what to think, and gain skills they need to succeed in work and life.
Our proven educational outcomes are life changing for students. At the heart of Future Problem Solving, our nearly one million alumni provide the most valuable evidence. We are inspired by them and all who help us build a vibrant global community of problem solvers ready to create positive change in the world.
Today’s educators find it challenging to fully address gaps in career readiness skills while also balancing their state and national education standards. By design, Future Problem Solving helps fill in the gaps with standard-based and skill-based resources to meaningfully engage young people in all the places and spaces they learn. Students gain broad general knowledge, a deeper understanding, and empathy as they apply higher-order thinking and complex problem-solving skills to real world issues.
Help us create a better future by ensuring all students gain access to learning the critical and creative thinking skills they need to succeed today and in the future. There are many ways we can work together.
