Love starts here. With you. Since 1896, the Humane Society of Huron Valley HSHV has been supporting the loving, responsible care animals in our community. We are an award-winning, no-kill shelter -- taking in thousands of unwanted, lost, stray, abandoned, and abused animals -- helping nearly 25,000 animals every year. In addition to pet adoption, we have a full-service low-cost high-quality veterinary clinic that serves the public and puts people and pets over profit, innovative programs that teach children compassio and help strugging seniors and pet owners care for their beloved companion animals, and a rescue and cruelty department that helps educate and advocate, thanks to supporters like you. HSHV is independently run (not associated with the Humane Society of the United States nor Michigan Humane), and we rely on the generosity of people like you to continue our mission.
