The Cornell International Affairs Society (CIAS) is Cornell’s primary international relations club. Its mission is to cultivate within students an enhanced understanding of international affairs while developing essential skills in public speaking, leadership, rhetoric and diplomacy. CIAS accomplishes this by hosting academic, social, and philanthropic events on-campus, and through participation in Model United Nations. CIAS members travel to Model United Nations conferences across the globe, and develop professional skills by hosting two conferences on Cornell’s campus, the Cornell Model United Nations Conference (CMUNC) and the Cornell International Affairs Conference (CIAC).
