The Stichting Koninklijke Defensiemusea (SKD) aims to give the military story and story of soldiers a place in public discussions by allowing as many people as possible to experience the armed forces in present, past and future because war and conflict are inextricably linked with the world in which we live and so with us. To this end, the collection is presented to an as large and diverse audience as possible in an attractive and modern way. The four Dutch national military museums are formed by the National Military Museum, the Naval Museum, the Marines Museum and the Marechausse Museum.
