The Beneficial Design Institute GmbH is a design research and development institute for sustainable and circular products with a focus on fashion and textiles. It follows an integrated design approach by combining quality, innovation and beauty with sustainability in a global context. Beyond the product itself, the BD-I designs systems and processes of resource-effective production, usage and return with the aim of creating positive effects for people and the environment. In an interdisciplinary environment, we develop circular concepts for products, manufacturing, sales, communication and usage that promote cultural change and are economically sustainable. In this context, we also appear as a consulting service provider and educational actors and are committed to collaborations based on the 'Open Innovation' model to effectively unite our competencies.
