BJE’s mission is simple yet profoundly important: We provide NSW Jewish students in non-Jewish primary and high schools with an inspiring, meaningful and inclusive BJE Jewish Journey. We aim to provide NSW Jewish students in non-Jewish primary and high schools with an inspiring, meaningful and inclusive BJE Jewish Journey. The BJE Jewish Journey is anchored in: • Developing Jewish friendship networks • Preparing for the right of passage to Jewish adulthood (Bar/Bat Mitzvah-ready) • Preparing for and participating in the BJE Israel program • Fostering leadership skills based on Jewish values, in particular, the acceptance of personal responsibility and making a difference through meaningful community service involvement BJE programs and activities are structured to enable parents (includes all primary care givers of students) of primary school students to support their children in making their BJE Jewish Journey successful
