We exist to promote the interests of our members: the businesses and licensed business operators of Downtown Port Coquitlam. We do this by promoting local shopping, engaging in economic development activities, providing a voice for business, and finding opportunities to highlight our members. We believe that giving back is a great way to increase our members’ exposure while building loyalty and relationships in the community. To this end, we hold or participate in events such as our annual Downtown Car Show, and we work hard to keep the downtown clean and safe. The Downtown PoCo BIA was formed in 1994 by a group of merchants that came together to work for the betterment of downtown businesses. Our members today number more than 300 and benefit from networking opportunities, increased profile and having an advocate working on their behalf.
