Founded in 2005, Atina initially focused on providing strength and transparency to a productive chain that is extremely complex: the natural Alpha-Bisabolol, obtained from the Candeia essential oil, a native tree from the Brazilian Atlantic Rain Forest. The starting point was structuring a forest and industrial operation certified by FSC, international reference for forestry handling. The Bisabolol of Atina was the first and only forest asset extracted from a native wood from the Atlantic Forest that succeded in obtaining the FSC certification.
From the experience earned with the Bisabolol, Atina started performing in other productive chains, from the structuring of supply of raw materials the production of the final standard ingredient.
The evolution of these process came with the adoption of the concepts of industrial symbiosis and total use of raw materials and supply chains, an Atina differential that expresses its perspective regarding sustainability.
Throughout the long road in the creation of new assets, Atina has accumulated experience to offer its clients a wide range of services in the development of routes for the extraction of products derived from woods, leads, fruits and seeds that preserve the chemical, olfactive, nutritional and sensorial richness of plants. Atina only employs environmentally friendly extraction procedures based on vapor, pressure, ethanol and water, without using petroleum-based organic solvents.
