Oregon Food Bank's mission is to eliminate hunger and its root causes ... because no one should be hungry.
We believe that hunger starves the human spirit and that communities thrive when people are nourished.
We work with a cooperative, statewide network of partner agencies to distribute emergency food to hungry families, helping 740,000 people who experience hunger every year. We fight hunger's root causes through public policy advocacy, nutrition and garden education to help people become more self-sufficient and resourceful, and by bringing communities together to strengthen local and regional food systems.
Join our movement to end hunger.
Become an Employee: You can make a difference daily, no matter what your strengths and interests are. As an employee you'll see first-hand the great need in our community and your work will have a direct impact in the lives of our neighbors experiencing hunger.
Volunteer: We need your help! Our volunteers come together from all walks of life to do meaningful work and have fun doing it. Volunteers are critical to our mission. You repackage food donations, lead nutrition education classes, maintain our Learning Gardens, help out in our offices, lend a hand at events, and more!
Advocate: Help us put the power of food to work. Through the concerted efforts of people like you, we can ensure that Oregon legislators get the message: providing food to those in need is a priority today, and addressing hunger's root causes is vital to eliminating hunger tomorrow.
Donate: You have the power to make a difference for a neighbor in need. A gift of as little as $10 will feed a family of four for three to five days.
Give Food: Food solves hunger today, by filling plates with nutritious meals. Whether it's a can of vegetables from your pantry, your donation is distributed through our network of hunger-relief agencies to the tables of hungry families in Oregon and Clark County, Washington.
