Tulsa Classical Academy seeks to cultivate wisdom and virtue in its students and provides preparation, not just for college and career, but for life. It aims to promote life-long learning, human flourishing, and the life of the mind.
Tulsa Classical Academy was founded by a local group of concerned and motivated citizens who formed Classically Formed Inc., an Oklahoma non-profit and 501(c)(3), in 2020 to explore establishing a classical charter school in Oklahoma. The group participated in a competitive application process and was approved by the Barney Charter School Initiative (BCSI) of Hillsdale College and will receive support from BCSI in the initial stages of school startup. Tulsa Classical Academy then plans to pursue a long-term affiliation with BCSI and, therefore, intends to use the Hillsdale College K-12 Curriculum. Tulsa Classical Academy is sponsored by Rose State College.
