Women in Information Technology Management (WITM) was founded in 2007 to raise awareness of the striking gender gap that exists in Business Technology Management (BTM) program and consequently, the IT industry and corporate culture.
As of 2016, WITM has re-branded from within to underpin the mandate across the Ted Rogers School of Management and Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). In essence, social, academic, and professional events are organized to strive towards enhancing diversity and inclusion in the BTM community as our top priority.
Our Mandate:
To encourage all genders in IT to participate in the development of a more diverse and inclusive community.
To equip women in IT with the necessary tools to break barriers within the corporate culture.
To empower women in IT to rise to greater prominence.
