Reading Force is a registered charity that brings Forces families closer together through shared reading.
It's like a book club for the whole family and is available to ALL British military families, Army, Navy & Marines, and RAF, including Reservists and Veterans.
The charity encourages families to read a book together, via Skype, Facetime or the telephone phone, connecting and bonding while mum or dad is deployed or away on training.
As well as books, Reading Force also gives provides a scrapbook to fill with thoughts, photographs and drawings about the story they’re sharing.
Challenges faced by military families are often underestimated. Talking about books and stories connects families who are separated, as well as providing bonding time when together at home - this supports wellbeing, builds resilience, and creates shared memories. The whole family can get involved, as well as friends.
Help us support British Forces families and children by donating to Reading Force. Your generosity will help with purchasing books, printing and postage of scrapbooks, and organising author visits in schools and communities. More details about how the corporate community can support us can be found on our website. https://www.readingforce.org.uk/supporters/
