The Mental Health Association of Southeast Florida (MHASEFL) is dedicated to promoting mental health and victory over mental illness and related challenges through education, prevention, advocacy, research and empowerment.
Programs include: Parent Education/Parent Support, Co-Parenting, Listen to Children, I'm Thumbody, Public Education as the Florida Outreach Partner of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Professional Education (CEUs), Seth Line warm line and 9Muses Art Center (drop-in center devoted to recovery through the arts).
The Mental Health Association has evolved from a core of dedicated activists to an established agency which provides direct services to the community, to behavioral health professionals and provider agencies, and to the mental health consumer population. The Association serves as a “convener, a coordinator and a collaborator” in working to promote the community’s agenda for mental wellness. MHASEFL’s strength is in its membership of dedicated advocates, providers and volunteers. Staff and volunteers are involved in the full range of community action in support of mental health and mental wellness for Southeast Florida.
Established in 1957 as the Mental Health Association of Broward County, now dba Mental Health Association of Southeast Florida, MHASEFL is an affiliate of Mental Health America, World Federation for Mental Health and the Florida Outreach Partner for the National Institute of Mental Health. MHASEFL has received the 3-year Gold Seal of CARF Accreditation - the highest level of accreditation available.
MHA welcomes partners to join us…together we can make a difference!
