GLiMT's performances are modern visual theater, contemporary circus - we tell stories that combines theater, circus techniques, dance and music. GLiMT was founded in 2002 (then teatro GLIMT), and is thus the oldest existing contemporary circus company in Denmark. The Company has since experienced a steady development and growing success with spectators, organizers and the press.This is partly due to GLiMT characterizes itself by always choosing thought-provoking themes in their performances. With the 11 performances that the Company to date has created, GLiMT has developed new methods and tools that make our work unique. This is especially the sharp focus on how a theme essence can be transformed into stories through the use of set design and physical work- in dialogue with physical circus techniques that create the momentum in the artistic and technical work. The utilization of a room is in our opinion something that contemporary circus can do better than most other art forms. With the utilization of heights, ropes, wires, furniture, objects, etc. The contemporary circus of GLiMT, is with its combination of a history's essence, exceptional physical abilities, visually striking images, imaginative use of set design and everyday objects, and often provocative themes, a type of performances all generations will enjoy.
