Coal Creek Meals on Wheels was established in 1972 by Lafayette resident Sue Marolf, a Board of Directors, and two staff members. In 2015, the organization moved from its original location, the First United Methodist Church of Lafayette, to Josephine Commons. A larger kitchen and a dining room now allow provision of meals for 130 home-bound clients and up to 70 on-site diners every weekday. Our mission is to provide daily nutritious meals and related support services to members of our community in need, helping them to live with dignity in their own homes. Coal Creek Meals on Wheels (CCMOW) is the only delivery meal program that specifically serves home-bound clients in Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, and Superior. In 2019 we served 540 clients and provided 42,113 meals (a 10% increase from 2018).
