Upon enrollment at Auburn University, each student becomes a member of the Student Government Association (SGA), the official governing organization of the student body. SGA is the voice of all students, promoting cooperation and communication among faculty, administration, municipal governments and state government to enhance the Auburn student experience. SGA also promotes the social and academic life of Auburn students, seeking to cultivate the best environment for student success.
SGA is organized into three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. The executive branch, SGA Cabinet, sponsors and implements numerous projects for the student body and community each year. The legislative branch, SGA Senate, is comprised of 34 Senators who actively work to address student needs through legislation. The judicial branch interprets and ensures adherence to the SGA Constitution and Code of Laws.
