Founded in 1904 to promote exploration “by all means possible,” The Explorers Club is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration, and the ideal that it is vital to preserve the instinct to explore.
Our membership is made up of over 3,500 scientists and explorers, across 34 global chapters. Our members are leading pioneers in oceanography, mountaineering, archaeology, and the planetary and environmental sciences. Collectively, they complete over 600 expeditions annually - on every continent and in every ocean, working in over 60 countries and outer space.
